STORYTELLING TIPS
•Use only one idea to make it memorable.
•Keep your story conversational. Include your thoughts and feelings. This is NOT an essay! How would you tell this story to a friend?
•It’s okay to tell it as if it is occurring now. Speaking in the present-tense helps people visualize your story.
•Describe everything in detail. The language of the brain is in pictures. Use a thesaurus or word finder to find the right word.
•Edit and edit again until it’s perfect!
